HOUSTON: He was here just three months back and Houston was ready to welcome Mika Singh again. The concert was originally scheduled for Friday, November 7. However, due to some immigration issues that Singh faced in India, it had to be rescheduled for Tuesday, November 11 at the Arena Theatre. Second time in a row, Rehan Siddiqi of Hum Tum Shows presented the concert to the Houston audience.

Since it was a weekday, the concert started early and once Mika Singh got on to the stage, he performed non-stop. He and his accompanying band set the stage on fire. He sang his new hits, which forced the crowd out of their seats and everyone danced and sang along with him. The show was well put together and Arif Memon and his team at DMMS did the production and technical management of the show.

The chosen venue, Arena Theatre is one of Houston’s oldest and most successful concert venues. Because of its unique design and the revolving stage, this theatre provides guests with an intimate evening with their favorite entertainer.

With no seat more than sixty feet from the stage you feel like you are part of the show, not just part of the audience. This intimate setting, unique to the Arena Theatre only, lets you feel like you get to know your favorite star a little better.

The audiences took advantage of this setting and were able to shake hands and take pictures with Mika while he sang and entertained them.

The show organizers were very happy with the outcome, in spite of it being a weekday. “ When I was first informed about the show being postponed, I took it up as a challenge because I believe in my Houston audience. They proved me right and I am glad that we had a great turnout on a weeknight,” informed Rehan Siddiqi. At the end of the show Mika Singh called Siddiqi on stage and thanked him and the Houston audience, and shared his happiness for the amazing turnout. He said it was his first USA weekday concert ever.

Mika Singh as a noted tradition of his concerts ended the night with the Indian national anthem, which filled everyone with positive energy as they left.
