Rashi Vats Runs Chevron Marathon

HOUSTON: Last week we ran the story on the people we knew had run the Chevron Houston Marathon. There are certainly many more Indo-Americans who took to the streets to make that event on January 18, and next year we’re hoping they’ll all send us their pictures for a truly big story.
One of those who ran this year but we only just heard about is Rashi Vats, the Channel 26 Fox News occasional anchor and reporter for the past two years. Rashi ran the half marathon and beat her own record. Her husband, Daniel Gotera who is the sportscaster at Channel 11 KHOU and her proud father, Raj Vats, met her at the finish line. Raj is a software consultant who has migrated into making TV commercials and has small roles in TV comedy serials.
