Ringing in the 2016 at India House!

HOUSTON: It was like a Friday first-day-first show House full, when you don’t get the super-starrer movie tickets!  Having to refuse last minute guests was the toughest part for India House Team. India House proudly announces their fully-sold out New Year’s Eve Party a success!

India House General Manager, Vipin Kumar welcomed all the guests on behalf of India House Trustees, Board and Council Members. India House Trustee Virendra Mathur and his spouse Nalini Mathur, India House President Manish Rungta and his spouse Manju Rungta enjoyed the event along with their families. First winning raffle ticket was drawn by Nalini Mathur and the surprise gift was given by Saroj Rungta.

The entertainment started with the live singing by Deepayan and Payel Mitra who were later joined by the audiences in chorus singing. There were many Bollywood and regional songs requested by the audience, truly showcasing India’s cultural diversity.

Mousumi Banerjee conducted two interesting and entertaining games giving out gifts to the winners. With many raffle tickets given at regular interval during the event, many guests received surprise raffle gifts! A separate guest room was kept aside for children, instead they preferred to enjoy fun-times with everyone in the Ballroom.

It was now time for the dance floor to open up. The audience were waiting for this moment and a vibrant-rhythmic energy filled the room with foot tapping Bollywood and Punjabi music by DJ Masti taking over the final moments towards 2016! Dancing into Cinderella time, everyone was served with complimentary Champagne to ring in the New Year! Party continued till wee hours till the last guests left.

A fun-filled and energetic evening, just what one needed to bid farewell to 2015 and welcome in 2016!

The event’ dinner was catered by Dawat of Madras Pavilion; evening’s music by DJ Masti; sound and lights by AD Sounds. With the games, entertainment, drinks, dinner and a family event with children allowed, India House New Year’s Eve Party was a Best Priced event of the town!
