SBR Presents Winter Fashion Show and Expo

HOUSTON: Houston’s fashionistas got an opportunity to shop top designer’s latest trends in Indian and Pakistani clothing and accessories on December 11 at the SBR Magazine Winter Fashion Show and Expo. The event, which was held at the Crown Plaza River Oaks, catered to individuals looking to update their wardrobes or plan for a future wedding.

Clothing vendors including Inara Saris, Craft Clothing, Afsheen Mehboob, Nisha’s Collections, Parinaz Boutique and Viranski had their best designer pieces on display during the exclusive fashion show presented by Abiya Malhotra of Glitz Entertainment. Also displaying their stunning creations were Jifs Jewels and More along with Amaya Home Décor and Sweet Joy Cupcakes and Treats who gave away free cupcakes to the first 50 guests. Many prizes were to be won throughout the day including a 42” Plazma TV which was sponsored by local channel 28 who will also be airing the event on their network very soon. “It was definitely a fun event to put together” admitted Narmeen Lakhani, publisher of SBR Magazine. The main attraction of the day ofcource was the fashion show, all the models looked gorgeous, Zohra from Hooked on Henna did such an amazing job with their hair and makeup, and the stage and set up of the venue looked absolutely stunning thanks to Affairs By Olli! The Hybrid Rhythms dance troop kicked off the show, DJ AV was spinning live throughout the day, and SBR Magazine’s Fashion Editor, Sneha Merchant did such an amazing job entertaining the crowd as the emcee for the day. Narmeen credits the success of her events to her vendors, supporters, friends and ofcource her family whose been her backbone throughout the entire process!
