An Enjoyable Namaskaar’s Gujarati Comedy Play

HOUSTON - A Gujarati play, “Chhel Chhabilo Gujarati” written by Imitiaz Patel and directed by Vipul Mehta was organized by Namaskaar Entertainment at Stafford Civic Center on Friday, May 16. Tara Energy and Kohinoor Diamonds were the grand sponsors of the event.

This was the fourth drama of the year 2008 organized by Namaskaar Entertainment. Namaskaar Entertainment is an organization that believes in bringing good, family entertainment. “Chhel Chhabilo Gujarati” was a social comedy play.
The story was about a family whose head, Nanukaka, was living his life like “Chhel Chhabilo Gujarati,” but he couldn’t stop his niece from following the footsteps of an Acharyashree, who was a Sanyasi living a very disciplined life with his adopted daughter Geeta.

The real story began when Usha invites Acharyashree and Geeta to her house. Usha’s fun-loving brother Shyam, comes under the influence of Acharyaji because of his attraction for Geeta.

Geeta was an orphan, adopted and raised by Acharyaji under strict rules of Ashram. Her life was nothing, but a game of chess. Like a piece of chess she was forced to live her life in a defined route. Nanukaka soon realized the dilemma of Geeta’s mind, and he gives her the strength to take her own decision and live her life in her own way by becoming her Guru. Even Usha realizes that she was living a life she doesn’t believe in.

The play tells us a big message in a very simple and comic way. More than 800 people enjoyed this beautiful play.
