HOUSTON: Days after the Bachchan trio comes to Houston, the Amitabh Bachchan-led Unforgettable Tour is gearing up to open to an unprecedented audience in this city. Billed as the biggest-ever Bollywood live show abroad, the event is already creating a lot of buzz in Houston as people get in line to get their tickets. Most of them have been sold-out while some denominations are still available ($85, $125 and VIP); however, a week before the show, Rajendar, organizer of Star Promotions that is hosting the event, expects them to be sold-out.

Houstonians could not have asked for more as the Big B, son Abhishek, and daughter-in-law Aishwariya Rai, will appear together for the first time on August 2, 2008.

Famed music directors from Bollywood Vishal and Shekhar who are accompanying the all-star cast on this international tour, have been overall impressed by the enthusiastic response to the show in cities such as Trinidad and Toronto; they are hopeful that audiences in Houston will be as wildly excited. “I can’t believe the crowd response that we have been enjoying, I except nothing less in Houston. It has only been getting better by the day,” said Vishal excitedly. “It hardly seems as if we are a part of the show where we are merely required to perform. In fact the experience so far has been much more personalized since the crowds are making us feel a part of them.”

Apart from the Bachchans, Preity Zinta, Ritesh Deshmukh, are also in the all-star cast of the tour. Madhuri Dixit will be joining them in the US tour. Said organizer Rajender, “This show is something that will make history and people will remember it forever. It will be monumental and nothing short of mind-blowing,” he enthused.
