After playing sprinter Milkha Singh in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB; 2012), Farhan Akhtar now wants to work on another biopic. The actor is toying with the idea of playing legendary composer late RD Burman, in a film.

A source close to Farhan says, “Considering that he is passionate about music, and often does live shows with his band, people would love to see him play the popular composer. Moreover, whenever he is asked to name a music legend he would like to portray on the big screen, he always takes Burman’s name. Farhan feels it will be very interesting to know his story, and tell the world about it.”

Ask Farhan about it, and he says, “I think it would be interesting to do a biopic on Burman. He is the man behind some great music, and behind all the great Kishore da (Kumar; actor-singer) and Anand Bakshi (lyricist) songs. He is also responsible for the amazing classical music of Amar Prem (1972) and the crazy disco tracks of Hum Kisise Kum Naheen (1977).”
