Army inflicts ‘heavy casualties’ on Naga militants along Indo-Myanmar border, denies it was surgical strike

Several militants believed to be of the Khaplang faction of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-K) were killed in an early morning gunfight along the Indo-Myanmar border, the Indian Army said on Wednesday.

The firefight that began around 4:45am lasted few hours and as per an army statement “a large number of casualties were suffered by the insurgents”.
