Chennai Express 1st Weekend Collection At Overseas Box Office
Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, which was released in 700+ screens in foreign countries, has taken the overseas Box Office by the storm. The Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer has surpassed Rs 50 crore mark in the international market in the first weekend. Smashing all previous records, the romantic comedy entertainer has set a new benchmark in all the foreign markets. Having collected $260,000 in preview shows on Thursday night, Chennai Express released in 196 screens in America, where it got a flying start on its opening day. The movie, which showed considerable growth on Saturday and Sunday, has collected Rs 15.15 crores ($24,75,000) at the USA Box Office in the first weekend. Its business is almost double when compared to that of Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger, which had collected Rs 8.25 crores ($14,84,404) from 120 screens in the country….
