HOUSTON: Would you like to enjoy a presentation showcasing India’s culture and history with a large cast of talented dancers and singers?
Education Youth Service (EYS) – an initiative of The Hindu Temple of The Woodlands – is honored to have the multi-talented Kanniks, bring CHITRAM, a powerful visual and musical multimedia production to the University of Houston’s Cullen Performance Hall on Saturday, April 26. The hall is located on the University Campus at 4800 Calhoun Road, Houston TX 77004. Save the date to enjoy a most delightful evening with your family and friends.
Kanniks is known for the concert “Shanti – A Journey of Peace” which was presented to two sold-out audiences in Houston three years ago. As he did for that production, Kanniks has conceived, composed, and will direct the multimedia concert. Chitram has been performed by local groups throughout the US and Canada to audiences who have strongly praised the production. Scores of singers, dancers and narrators will participate in the high-energy program.
CHITRAM tells the story of Indian culture through several styles of traditional dance and various other art forms, including Kanniks’ mesmerizing choral compositions. It will capture the interest of Americans and Indian-Americans alike, creating lasting memories which will continue to delight audience members.
The performance will help to finance the new educational wing for Hindu Temple of The Woodlands. For tickets, contact Kiran Emi at kiran.emi@gmail.com or Prabharkar Centala at ckprabharkar@yahoo.com. Mention where you heard about this performance for a discounted price.
