Experience Indian Heritage at Vedic Fair on Saturday April 23

HOUSTON: Festive and Flamboyant Vedic Fair will be held on Saturday April 23, from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Cinco Ranch High School, Katy, TX. A hit for last four years, the reaction to its sequel isn’t that surprising. As Vedic Fair is approaching students, artists, vendors and participants at Ashirwad A Blessing Temple are enthralled and looking forward to its fifth iteration.

VEDIC FAIR is a complete family event to experience Indian Heritage and the fair covers length and breadth of India. Admission for the fair is free. Preparations for this nonpareil Fair have started since December 2015 and in a weeks’ time promises to bring this festive entertaining cultural event to Greater Houston.

Last year’s fair attended by 2500+ Houstonians was another nonesuch festive, educating and an entertaining event that wowed attendees starting from a thousand peacock feather arch background presented in diorama Golok  to Vedic Bazaar, 25 + presentations on India to Workshops and from many varieties of Food to a grand finale two hour stage play “Krishna = The Blue Man”. The stage play directed by event chair Geetha Ravula kept audience captivated with mellifluous music and grand stage props built by Ashirwad A Blessing TempleTeam.

One of the previous presenters at Vedic Fair says “I feel Vedic Fair was a really interesting event because it presents many different aspects of India, its rich heritage, culture and values. It is really helpful for youth like me and older and younger generations. It not only helped me in my own research for presenting The Third Eye concept but I also learned from other’s presentations.”

This year Vedic Fair will bring Saket Loka, the abode of Lord Rama where audience can strike pictures with Live Lord Rama and his Family. In this effort a dedicated meet and greet with artists dressed up as Lord Rama and family is arranged. Vedic Bazaar at Vedic Fair will bring variety of Indian Ethnic Apparel, Jewelry and variety of delicacies from paani poori to samosa chat. Young kids can go back in time to see Lord Rama’s Ikshvaku Dynasty and enjoy activities such as shooting Ravan, henna, face painting and more. Signature event a rare talent Sloka-Thon will be presented LIVE on stage by Ashirwad students. Vedic Fair 5 will conclude with the play “Rama, The Lord of 16”, presented in Hindi with English narration featuring 27 artists.
