Hyderabad student shot dead by unidentified men in US

HYDERABAD: A 23-year-old engineering graduate from Kushaiguda, who was pursuing a master’s degree in information technology at Atlantis University in Miami, was shot dead by unidentified persons in front of his apartment in Miami on Sunday.

The family of the victim, Ila Sai Kiran, stays at Parimala Nagar in Kushaiguda on the outskirts of Hyderabad. At around 3.30am, some family friends delivered the terrible news to Sai Kiran’s father Srihari Goud.

“I was told that the incident happened while Sai Kiran was standing in front of his apartment and talking over the phone to his friend Srikanth (also in the US). Some unidentified persons came to him and asked for his iPhone. When Kiran refused to give the phone, they shot him,” Srihari Goud told TOI.
