Shakthi takes a number of forms to guide, strengthen and show light to all her devotees.
One of her many forms include Bala thripurasundari rajamathangi, suvasini and so on. When she assumes the form of Rajamathangi, she is the true form of Knowledge, Music, and everything related to fine arts. She is worshipped by doing this Homam and chanting Lalitha Sahasranamam, by which she grants all her devotees the best in music and arts and knowledge.

Following the Homam for Rajamathangi, the Abhishegam was conducted with the Vedic chanting by the Priests. All the devotees joined in the chanting of the Lalitha Sahasranamam, bringing a serene atmosphere to the main temple. The ladies participating in the pooja were each blessed with flowers sandal paste and Kumkum. Keeping in mind that Goddess in the Rajamathangi form is the supreme mother, all sumangalis (married ladies) are worshipped on the same day and treated as Shakthi.

After the pooja the Devi was taken on a procession around the temple with the event concluding with Prasadam to all. All felt a deep sense of fulfillment in the knowledge of having received the Supreme mother’s blessings. We owe our thanks to the RAC for organizing the event, especially to the event coordinator Parvathi (Sudha) Chandrasekar. These events lift the devotee’s spirit and reinvigorate the faith in the almighty.
