Judge Ed Emmett with Kids

HOUSTON: Triggers Cricket Colts League (TCCL) hosted the 2015 Annual Banquet at KISD center on 12-DEC to conclude the second successful year. The Banquet was well attended by over two hundred members. The event had the warmth of a family gathering and the event master Malay Vyas provided the professional touch to the compering of the event.

Anita Vyas (NACH Houston) opened the event with an electrifying performance of interactive Bollywood dance with enthusiastic participants. Later, TCCL kids entertained the gathering with multiple talent shows such as reciting Piano, Violin, Tabla and Hindustani vocal.

TCCL Director Surya Saladi presented the league status report with future roadmap with a pledge to make 2016 a bigger and better platform for the youth players.

TCCL Clubs leaders Sudheer Kanatha & Dhaval Patel (KYC), Bhaskar Saripella & Krishna Sikharam (ECC), Bhavesh Patel & Vamshi Kathyam (SLYC) and Visu Manohar (NWCC) reported progress made by their respective clubs and laid out plans for 2016.

Honorable Harris County Judge Ed Emmett graced the event with his kind presence along with other sponsors and presented achievement awards. Judge Emmett spoke with passion on his interest in improving the game of cricket. He wanted TCCL to take cricket further into community working with school districts. He compared cricket with soccer from 25 years back to suggest cricket can become a true American game if it is promoted at the grassroots level. He further pledged to donate for TCCL cause in 2016.

All the youth players present at the event presented a signed bat to judge Emmett along with an appreciation plaque to thank his support.

Special Guests Sakhi Mohamed (Smart Choice Auto Group), Jesal Patel (Financial Consultant) and Mangesh Gatto (KP IT) spoke on the occasion expressing their support to the youth cricket program.

Nanda Kumar, President of TCC concluded the event with his vote of thanks to the attendees and requested support to spread the word about cricket at local schools.

All the guests were treated to a sumptuous and delicious dinner.

TCCL conveys special thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who assisted in planning & executing various tasks resulting in a banquet with great success. TCCL is looking forward to having this banquet again next year and hoping that it will be even bigger and better.
