Two Indian American Researchers Receive ‘Early Career’ Awards

Washington, D.C. — Two Indian Americans are among the 102 recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor bestowed by the United States government to science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers.

They were recognized by President Barack Obama at the White House on April 14.

The honorees include Dr. Karunesh Ganguly, an assistant professor in residence at the UCSF School of Medicine and the UCSF Department of Neurology; and Dr. Hardeep Singh of the Houston VA Medical Center….
