HOUSTON: Nirvana Restaurant served its last meal on Monday, December 31 and then moved, the next day to across the driveway into a newly renovated restaurant at 14545 Memorial Drive at Diary Ashford, that doubles the floor space. “This move will allow us to serve up to 150 guests, with another 25 on the outdoor deck”, said General Manager Mansour Allam.

The new location has the buffet islands in the middle with the dining areas on each side. Allam, who has a good eye for color and a flair for interior design, is still in the process of picking out paintings and other artwork to create the right atmosphere. “It’ll probably take us another month to put all the pieces together”, he said, and then we’ll plan on a grand opening party. Owner Salim Ahmed, who also owns Kings Chicken on Beechnut at Boone Road, echoed the sentiment, adding that they can use the new layout more effectively for private parties while also catering to the regular guests.
