Sania Mirza and her Czech partner Barbora Strycova have entered the semifinal of the Wuhan Open tennis tournament in China.

Sania and Barbora defeated the Hungarian-Kazakh duo of Times Babos and Yaroslava Shvedova 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) on Friday.

Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova are the third seeds in this tournament. They took just one hour and 18 minutes to win their quarterfinal match.

Sania and Barbora had a higher percentage of first serves to win a tight match. The second set was particularly well fought.

Sania and Barbora’s semifinal match will also be played on Friday. They will contest with the second seed pair of Chan Hao-Ching and Chan Yung-Jan.
