Annise Parker Re-elected Houston Mayor

HOUSTON: Houston Mayor Annise Parker has been elected to a third and final term as the leader of the nation’s fourth largest city.  Annise Parker got more than 57 percent of the votes.

Parker was first elected in 2009. She won her second term in 2011. Term limits prevent Parker from running for a fourth term.  During Parker’s administration, Houston has been named in surveys as one of the best cities to live in.

Parker gave her victory speech Tuesday night at the George R. Brown Convention Center  and about 1000 people attended the victory celebration, most of city council members along with other high officials were also present along with Sheriff Adrian Garcia.

All communites were present along with Mayor parker to celebrate the victory party. From the South Asian community, Community Leaders and prominent persons also attended the party along with Rahman Moton (President) Myanmar American Chamber of Commerce.
