STAFFORD, TX: Over 2,100 participants came together at the picturesque Sugar Land Town Square earlier this year, on April 24, to join In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run 2022 that was organized by BAPS Charities. These enthusiastic participants were part of an even larger movement of walkers and runners at similar walkathons organized in over 74 cities throughout the USA.

These events helped raise funds for national beneficiary Susan G. Komen’s vital mission to save lives and invest in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. In addition, the walkathon in the Greater Houston area also supported local beneficiaries, Behind the Badge Charities and Stafford MSD Education Foundation.

Komen to spearhead advances in cancer treatments and educate the community on early detection through annual exams and screening.

Sarah Rosales, VP of Corporate Partnerships for Susan G. Komen, shared personal narratives of breast cancer patients facing challenging circumstances with resolve and determination. She noted that long-standing partnership is making an impact and thanked volunteers for showing love and commitment through the incredible donation.
