KATY: It was a beautiful night of Saturday, October 1, with the right amount of cool crispness in the air to hold an outdoor party by the softly lit pool, especially one at the gorgeous home of Anu and Sagar Naik.

And all the beautiful people associated with Club 24 Plus, a philanthropy group, turned up for the Diwali celebration in their colorful ethnic attire for dinner and socializing. Dinner was provided by Dawaat Catering whose co-owner Mahesh Shah made time to be at the event between catering two others!

Gathered at the back patio, they celebrated with a lighting of the traditional diyas and bouquets of flowers in appreciation of members for their achievements: Jagdip Ahluwalia, Executive Director of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston for the successful gala held a week earlier and Sanjay Ram for his appointment earlier in the year as Chairman of the METRO Board.

Club 24 Plus President Khyati Mehta appreciated them and everyone for their support of the group which is closed end and fully subscribed with new members allowed in through invitation only. Co-founder Ashok Garg noted that the group’s major Philanthropy event at which checks are distributed to various deserving charities had not been held in two years due to COVID restrictions. “But with the pandemic waning down,” he said, “we expect to hold the event again early next year in April.”
