Drashti Dhami – Siddhant Karnick’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani to replace Jodha Akbar from July 27

After being missing from the scene for a while, Drashti Dhami will be back to television with a new show, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, which also stars Siddhant Karnick. The show sent waves ever since its first teaser was out and with its promo, fans simply went gaga opver Drashti’s de-glam avatar. Well, here’s some more good news… The show will go on air from July 27. Unfortunately, for Paridhi Shrarma and Rajat Tokas’ fans, Jodha Akbar is nearing its end as the new show will replace it in the 8 pm slot.

Reportedly, Jodha Akbar, which has had a great run so far was starting to lag behind on the TRP chart and most of its pivotal characters were to be replaced which was further expected to affect the TRPs. To top it up, lead, Paridhi Sharma’s contract was coming to an end which would only cause more problems. So the makers thought it wise to end the show on a good note. Reportedly, the cast will wrap up shoot for the show by July 15.
