The first half of the night, Houston’s legendary DJ Scoop and DJ Dholi Deep kept the audience mesmerized by dishing out the best of Bollywood and Top 40 club hits, which had the audience hit the dance floor with gusto. The energy was palpable and the mood infectious.

By midnight, Delhi, India’s most popular DJ – DJ Kamya, was ready to turn up the oomph factor with her music and energy. She kept her audience enthralled and on their feet till the wee hours of the morning. Thanks to the daylight saving, the audience had an extra hour to dance the night off and boy it was worth it! The audience was ecstatic with all the nostalgic desi music and just didn’t want the music to stop.

In between all the dancing, Hookah lovers could sit on the patio and enjoy being served up by Aladdin’s Hookah in a variety of flavors and have their photos taken by Meedu’s Photografy.

Overwhelmed by the grand success of the party, Sunny Taj (the host) said, “Houstonians have always shown their support by attending our events in large numbers. Grooveyard was another example of a perfect night for music lovers… with a fantastic lineup of DJs, great ambience and a wonderful crowd full of energy”.

He added, “It was like a ‘Reunion’ for many who met an old friend after a long time and stories like these make us want to organize more and more events that bring people together. The biggest compliment for us was when people were craving for more, despite dancing the night for more than 5 hours. It just shows we were successful in entertaining our audience and that is our biggest victory. We have raised the bar pretty high for our next event which is coming up… very soon”. The grand sponsors for this event were Anand and Dr. Ashima Chauhan.

A witch dancing to Bhangra music, a goblin or two, jumping to desi item songs and a Dracula humming to nostalgic Hindi romantic music… Halloween just got desi-fied.
