ICC award for Abeezar Tyebji

HOUSTON: IACCGH Executive Director Jagdip Ahluwalia and CEO of Shipcom Wireless Abeezar Tyebji were honored by the India Culture Center at their Republic Day celebrations on January 31. They were presented plaques by Consul General P. Harish.

Jagdip Ahluwalia was felicitated for his continued efforts over the last 15 years in fostering Indo US bilateral trade, taking the organization to greater heights and strengthening the bonds of the Greater Houston business community.  This award signifies the buoyant Synergy US India relations theme of the celebrations and as Emcee and IACCGH  Board member Swapan Dhairyawan put it, the ICC committee “could not find anyone better than him” for the award.

ICC Award for Jagdip Ahluwalia

CEO of Shipcom Wireless and IACCGH member – Abeezar Tyebji was also honored for his immense contribution to Houston’s economic growth and the creation of 250 high paying jobs in Houston, many of them employing Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Abeezar has built Shipcom into a leading provider of Inventory Management Software Solutions and recently led Shipcom to win one of the largest single medical supplies inventory management programs for $5 billion plus clinical supplies for 153 Veteran Administration Hospitals and 600 clinics across the US.

IACCGH President Ashok Garg described this honor as a “well deserved recognition and an inspiration to all of us.” He further stated that the efforts of both the honorees “exemplified the mission and vision of the Chamber” of impacting the economic growth of the Greater Houston area by creating jobs and investments right here.
