Kamlesh Kukreja Heads Radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital

United States: Dr. Kamlesh U. Kukreja has been named chief of interventional radiology at the department of pediatric radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas..
He has also been appointed assistant professor of radiology at Baylor College of Medicine.
“For more than a decade, Dr. Kukreja has distinguished himself as an expert in clinical and research initiatives and we’re confident that his leadership will continue to advance the national prominence of our interventional radiology team,” Dr. George Bisset III, the Edward B. Singleton chief of pediatric radiology at Texas Children’s and a radiology professor at BCM said in a statement.
Kukreja’s clinical interests include pediatric interventional oncology and management of thrombosis in children. His research focuses on pediatric cancer and venous thrombosis and he has authored more than 19 book chapters and publications
The Indian American physician won the Caffey Award for the best electronic poster at the International Pediatric Radiology meeting in May 2006.
A formerly pediatric interventional radiologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Kukreja has bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degrees from Rajiv Gandhi Medical College and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital.
He completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology at Miami Children’s Hospital and his interventional radiology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
