New York Physician Elected to Hospital Medical Board

YONKERS, New York, United States: Dr. Sachin Chopra was recently elected to the medical board of St. Josephs Hospital and Nursing home.
The teaching facility was founded in 1888 and is one of the oldest healthcare providers in the tri state area. The hospital has a $115 million operating budget, 1200 employees, a 194-bed acute care hospital and a 200-bed nursing home.
Chopra is a graduate of Cornell University, New York Medical College, and NYCOM. The Indian American physician was awarded the “Resident of the Year” Award at the Long Island Jewish/ North Shore Health System at Plainview; and was also honored by the New York state Assembly and the New York state Senate for medical care helping the critical care and underserved populations.
