HOUSTON: Women’s Voice for Better America, a Houston based-network of women from all walks of life, hosted the first ‘Opportunity Fair for Women’ on Saturday, August 27, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Star Learning, 3528 Texas 6, Sugar Land, Texas.

The Opportunity Fair for Women attended by approximately 100 participants, provided free resources, services and information to all the attendees seeking increased access to quality healthcare, cancer-free living, bone marrow registry, job search techniques, small business start-up assistance, financial strategies, investments, civic participation and voting.

The presentations by MD Anderson, Memorial Hermann, Indian-American Cancer Network, Ibn Sina Community Medical Center, DAYA-Houston, Workforce Solutions, SCORE Houston, New York Life Insurance, Wealth Development Strategies and League of Women Voters energized women to further their goals in life.

Women’s Voice for Better America is a multi-ethnic organization dedicated to the advancement of issues that pertain to women. The organization’s focus is on increasing women’s access to healthcare, careers, entrepreneurship, finance, voter education, family support and civic engagement.
