Perfect Score at the ACT College Admission Test

Namrata Susan Verghese

SUGARLAND: Namrata Susan Verghese, a senior attending the Global Studies Academy (GSA) in the William.P. Clements High School, Sugarland, Texas, has achieved a perfect score (36) in her ACT College admission test. In addition to this feat achieved only by 0.06% of test takers nationally, she also obtained a 2380 out of a maximum of 2400 in SAT (perfect score of 800 each in math and reading, and 780 in writing) and is a 2015 Semi-Finalist for the National Merit Scholarship. She is also a National Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar with Distinction.

Namrata is an active member of her school GSA Council and an avid writer and artist. She has won numerous awards in academics and extracurricular activities, and wishes to pursue further studies in English Literature and Creative Writing.

She is the eldest daughter of physician couple, Verghese George and Jessy Skaria, who hail from the State of Kerala, India, and are now settled in Missouri City, Texas. She has two younger siblings, Apoorva and Gaurav.
Born  in India, Namrata did her early elementary education in the United Kingdom before moving to the USA in 2005. She feels that her exposure to different cultures and educational systems has played a major role in shaping her personality and destiny.
