Sugar Land Marriott at Town Square Hosts a Sweet Bridal Show
SUGAR LAND: DesiWeds.com is the newest resource in South Asian Wedding Planning and have already made a name for themselves. It is a major feat for a family to plan a South Asian wedding and in understanding this, the bridal show was an opportunity for families to come and meet the best vendors under one roof.
The vendors showcased the latest trends and upcoming styles for the 2015 wedding season. From Sari Sapne who adorned the entry showcasing their eye catching collection of bridal dresses to the amazing decor presented by Events in Bloom, Prashe Decor, and River Oaks Flower House. There was so much to see and brides drew inspiration from the elaborate setups for their own wedding. One of the brides, Ritika said “I’m so glad that I came out to the show, it really let me see some great ideas that I could incorporate for my own wedding, I loved seeing what all was possible!”
We all know that wedding festivities are not complete without food, the teams from Tempura Halal Restaurant, Bombay Brasserie and Dawaat Catering (Madras Pavilion) truly showed off their chefs talents! Traditional dishes served in non-traditional ways (spinach chaat in martini glasses) made you realize that you can think outside of the box and you are not limited. Who stops with just dinner? There were other offerings like coffee and chocolate fountains that gave couples the option to create unique offerings at their own wedding.
Stunning pictures were displayed by some of the top photographers in Houston, such as Tomas Ramos, John Ly, Joey T and Blink Film Images. Brides were able to register on site for their gift registries with Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Dillard’s. Brides along with there families were able to consult with experts in South Asian Wedding Planning from the team with Design Wedding Consultants.
There was everything from a live baraat with the horse and carriage set up and a groom to the welcoming of the bride and groom into the reception hall, the DJs really illustrated their skills and showcased the best of their equipment. The intention was that a family planning their wedding really could come to the DesiWeds Bridal Show and leave with resources and tools to plan the wedding.
The DesiWeds team thought of everything, from giving grooms and dads the option to escape some of the tension by playing casino games while the ladies talked to vendors and offering brides a complimentary massage to relieve some stress from wedding planning. This was definitely a show that will be unforgettable.
