Texas Lunar Festival Celebrated at Amity Park

HOUSTON: This past weekend, on February 8, Texas Lunar Festival was celebrated at the Amity Park. Over 10,000 people from various communities attended the event, along with Congressman Al Green, State Representatives, Houston City Council members, Consul General from various countries and people from different communities attended and enjoyed the event.

Wea H. Lee,  chairman of the Texas Lunar Festival, co-chair Rahman Moton were few of the people behind this well organized and successful event. The morning session included the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and the grand opening of the Microfilm Festival. In the afternoon Moton and his team presented a culturally rich South-Asian performance. Moton has helped promote the South Asian culture for the past five years in the Lunar Festival.
