Vir Joins Dean’s Advisory Council at Business School

HOUSTON: Atul Vir, a serial entrepreneur, inventor and community activist who has been a resident of the city for many years, has been invited to join the Dean’s Advisory Council at the School of Business Administration at the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) campus.

UHV offers courses leading to approximately 60 bachelors and master’s degree programs and concentrations in the schools of Art and Science, Business Administration, Education and Human Development. Classes are held in Sugar Land, Katy, Victoria and online.

The School of Business Administration campus located in Sugar Land is included among Princeton Reviews Best Business Schools, offering BBA as well as Strategic MBA and Global MBA programs.

The role of the Deans Advisory Council is much like that of a Board of Directors. Members will advise the Dean as to the strategic direction of the School, and provide input regarding the curriculum in order to ensure the School’s programs are meeting the needs of the business community. In addition, the Council members will bring a “real world” perspective to the table; helping to ensure the the school is producing highly knowledgeable and well-trained graduates with appropriate skill sets.

Vir is the President of Equator Advanced Appliances, a manufacturer of innovative household products with interests in the US, Canada, Europe, China and India. He is also the Principal of Shangri-La Contemporary Art Foundation, an organization that promotes international art.
