New Delhi: Pre-approved, low-risk Indian travellers to the US may soon have an expeditious, hassle-free immigration through automatic kiosks at select American airports, with India set to join the US Global Entry Program ahead of the Indo-US Homeland Security dialogue in July.

The Indo-US homeland security dialogue in Washington, to be led by Union home minister Rajnath Singh and US secretary for homeland security Jeh Charles Johnson, is also expected to see inking of a pact on exchange of real-time terrorist screening information between the two countries.

“We hope to have India on the US Global Entry Program soon. It may happen before home minister Rajnath Singh visits US for the Indo-US homeland security dialogue sometime in July,” a senior home ministry official told TOI on Monday.
