HOUSTON: In lieu of celebrating International Women’s Day 2016, an exclusive Seminar of WOMEN & FINANCE was held for the ladies of the Bhakta Samaj of Houston. Ina C. Patel an agent from New York Life Insurance Company (Houston) conducted a 3 hour Seminar at Mayuri Indian Restaurant on March 6.

The Seminar focused on Women and Finance and it showcased points of interest to Women willing to learn about various financial products and goals.  The main focus of the Seminar was to educate women in handling their finances better and being prepared for the future. The Seminar was conducted in Gujarati and English so as to appeal to the audience at large.

Ina C. Patel captivated the audience with her presentation and her experiences. She discussed the needs of a will, estate planning, retirement, long term care, life insurance, health insurance among various other topics.

The tremendous turnout of 75 + ladies at the Seminar was a proof to the changing times and how our Community women are now more interested and adept at making financial decisions for themselves and their families future. Besides talking about finance the women at the Seminar also played interactive games and feasted on a wonderful dinner.

This Seminar was a wonderful example of women empowerment in our Community here in Houston and we are glad we have people like Ina C. Patel taking initiative and hosting such events.
